Some of the nation’s most prestigious events were held under the stained-glass dome ceiling of the Garden Court. In 1919, President Woodrow Wilson hosted two luncheons in support of the Treaty of Versailles that ended W.W.I. This was part of his 8000-mile tour, with 40 speeches in 29 cities in 22 days.
All pictures were hand-tinted by Bennett Hall from vintage historical photographs.
